This is a mock situation to practice various topics.

(non-refundable airline ticket)

* I'm sorry. there's a problem which you need to resolve. You booked a non-refundable airline ticket. However, something has happened that prevents you from traveling next week. Call the travel agent and explained what has happened. Offer two or three options to resolve the problem.

Hello, this is Charlie Yun. I reserved a non-refundable ticket for next week.
But something urgent happened to me and I can’t cancel it.
So I'd like to discuss with you how to resolve this.
Is this ticket really non-refundable according to your policy?
If there's another option for me to cancel it, tell me about it.

(After hearing there’s no option) I really have an important appointment next week. I really can’t cancel it. Is there some penalty for cancellation of the ticket? Let me know about the percentage of the penalty.
Could you please consider my situation and allow me to pay some penalty and cancel it?

(After hearing that they can’t refund it)
Can I rearrange the flight time? Then, do I have to pay some delay charge? I want to reschedule it to two weeks later.

===========================
Are there anything to be corrected in the answer?

You need to look up "urgent". This is the second thread in which you have misused it.

I don't know why "urgent" is wrong.

Something that's urgent isn't something that happened to you. It's something you need to take care of right away. It can't wait.

You book a flight. You buy a ticket.

What about "something inevitable"?

Something inevitable happened? I'm afraid not.

You want:

Something came up, and I couldn't use the ticket.

Maybe you could use unexpected there. Perhaps:

Something unexpected happened, and I couldn't use the ticket.

That might work.
