Hello

How would you describe this mesmerising sky in a poetic and dramatic way?

What are some words that can be used to describe the clouds and also what is the color of the sky?

Tell us how you would describe it first.

I really tried. I feel like about clouds the word "patch" or patchy can be used. But I don't know how to phrase it.

I also know this can be said:

Clouds gather to block the last scarlet rays emitting from the hidden sun. And as night creeps on closer, darkness overtakes the the dying light of the day.

Is it okay to say this:

The sun is on its last breath?

The hardest part for me is describing the clouds and and also describing the color of the sky.

How do you know that that can be said? Did you copy it from somewhere? If so, you need to tell us the source and the author.

I believe that alpacinoutd believes these are questions about poetic language, rather than grammar or "correctness". I could be wrong.

Where should it be? [STRIKE]sir?[/STRIKE]

Don't refer to users here as "Sir/sir" (or "Madam/Ma'am). 1 - It suggests you assume the user is male. That's not always the case. 2 - It's unnecessarily formal.

I think these posts would be better in the Editing and Writing Topics section.

I read that somewhere on the Internet. I don't remember where. I have just jotted it down in my notebook.

How can I describe the clouds?

Next time you jot something down in your notebook, remember to also note the source and the author please.

What do you want to describe about the clouds - the pattern, the colour, the feelings they might evoke?

I'm moving this to the Editing and Writing Topics sub-forum, as it's clear that you are trying to write a (short) piece about a picture.

Alright. Do you have any suggestions for the clouds? How can they be described?

What type of clouds do you see in the picture? How would you describe their shape?
