    attention rhymes with hut

4: a position assumed by a soldier with heels together, body erect, arms at the sides, and eyes to the front(US) The troops stood at attention. = (British) The troops stood to attention.—often used as a command

According to the above link, the pronunciation of "attention"(sense 4) is often /(ə-)ˌten(ch)-ˈhət /.

This pronunciation rhymes with "hut," doesn't it?

Yes, but I wouldn't call it a pronunciation of "attention" per se, and it doesn't have a schwa. I'd call it the military pronunciation of the imperative command, "Attention!".

/ noun əˈtɛn ʃən; interjection əˌtɛnˈʃʌn /

Can the pronunciation / interjection əˌtɛnˈʃʌn /, which rhymes with "shun," be used in the military command?

    Re: attention rhymes with hut

"Ten-HUT!" is an order that is barked by a sergeant or other non-commissioned officer to command instant attention.

In ordinary conversation, military or otherwise, attention is a three-syllable word that rhymes with mention.
I'm not a teacher. I speak American English. I've tutored writing at the University of Southern Maine and have done a good deal of copy editing and writing, occasionally for publication.
