Hello

Is this sentence correct?

Learning a new language has less to do with age than with diligence.

I want to suggest that diligence is more important than age in learning a new language.

As someone who has had to try to learn a few languages in middle age, I would say that age is a factor. In Laos, I mastered the writing system, but simply going through a few Asian countries and having to learn completely different numbers, for instance, does place a burden on an aging brain with less memory. I reached native speaker level in a European language in my twenties. I still remember Khmer better, my forties, than Tagalog, my fifties. Diligence does not replace the consequences of age.
