Have I made any mistakes?

Kevin was pulled over by a traffic officer late at night. Before he could so much as blink, he shoved the mouthpiece of a Breathalyser into Kevin's mouth and told him to blow into it. His heart started to race. He had drunk a couple of pints a few hours before and knew what his punishment would be. The traffic officer would have no choice but to order him to lock the car and leave it on the same spot. This was in the middle of nowhere, and he could see only fields and woods wrapped in darkness. He wondered how he was going to get to the nearby town, where he could rent a room for a night.

In American English: traffic cop

Kevin must have been dreaming. (No traffic cop would do that. He'd be required to get out of the car first.)
