Question How to express that a device makes another device to do an action.

    Hello !

I'm having difficulties finding a proper form of expressing that a device makes another device to do an action.
    Here is the context:
... the Controller receives and passes it to the Access Control Central which makes the call to take an action or not. This action can be opening a barrier or a door, acting an external hardware or any other command.
Using acting in that phrase sounds awful. Acting doesn't seem to fit the bill right here. I have thought of replacing it with enabling or using, but that doesn't sound better either.

Is there any idiom or expression that I can use to convey what I am trying to say.

P.S. Is it me, or this forum editor is a little clunky ? I found it difficult to write this post because it kept randomly moving the cursor at the beginning of a word as I was typing.

The whole passage makes little sense. It's hard to know what you're trying to say as there seem to be multiple errors.

Could you try saying both (full) sentences again, with different words?

You've also posted in the wrong forum.

The one device is commanding the other.
