Arrow Another way to say some words and use them

    Hello, everybody!

    I need a help, please.

1.) Are there another way to say the following question in the past tense?:

    "What's happened?".

I know I can say 'What's going on?' to present tenses but could I say 'What's went on or what's gone on?'?

2.) When I know there is a person who is currently ill can I ask to her "How about your health?" to know if she is getting better or "how about" is used just to make suggestion?

    Thanks for attention!

    Hello Falcon

    1. Yes, you can simply say "What happened?"

    2. You're right: "how about" introduces a suggestion. However, there is a very similar phrase, for the purpose you require. Did you want to try again?

    All the best,

Wow! Thanks for so quick response!

If "how/what about" is used to make suggestion or offering something, I really don't know what do I have to use to say this question correctly...

Can I say "how is going your health?" or "how does your health is going on?" or neither?

    thanks!

Re: Another way to say some words and use them

    Hello Falcon

I would probably say either "How are you feeling now?" or "Are you feeling any better?"

Other members may have other suggestions, though!
