Only conceive how comfortable they will be

John speaks to Fanny after he made to his father Mr Dashwood for distributing money to stepmother, his mother and sisters:

John: They will have 500 a year amongst them as it is.
Fanny: And what on earth could four women want for more than that? They'll have no carriage, no horses, hardly any servants and will keep no company. Only conceive how comfortable they will be.

    What does "Only conceive" mean?
It means "think about" or "think on this matter".

Yes, it means "Just/Only think about" or "Just/Only understand".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
