We don't use and all that way in American English and it's a little faint, so I wasn't confident I'd heard it right.

That is what I hear. It isn't something that I would say as a southern English native BrE speaker but the speaker is Scots, or possibly Ulster Scots. In this case "all" is a shorthand meaning whatever the child wanted to do after climbing.
