    move things along

Sponder meets Chubb, who is standing in a Q:

    Chubb: Chubb, Kensington Chubb.
Sponder: Mr. Chubb, would you like to follow me? I think I might be able to move things along.

What does "move things along" mean?

Please tell us what you found when you looked up "move something along" online or elsewhere.

You have been asked multiple times to show us that you have made your own attempt to work out meanings and you have failed to do so. In a previous thread, I advised you that your threads would be closed or deleted if you did not do so. This is the last post that will be left active without that information.

What does the underlined phrase mean? (Hint: you're thinking of a word that sounds like the name of the letter "Q".)
    I am not a teacher.

    Re: move things along

It means to make progress, or solve a problem that is delaying success. He is offering to "make a way" through a difficult situation that Chubb is struggling in.

Are you asking us or telling us? Are you planning to do as I asked in post #4?

    Re: move things along

I am suggesting that I got the answer again. I ask my friend.

See this meaning: to progress or develop, or to make something progress or develop
