    I would like to know the meaning of GO ON in the following sentence:

    1) I like Tom a lot, but he really does go on at times!

    I looked the different meanings of Go on up in the dictionary but I can't decode its meaning. Maybe it means....Talking too much?

    Yes, it means Tom talks too much, and often about subjects that are of no interest to anyone but himself.
