You should say how you dealt with it is a statement.
How did you deal with it? is a question.
Don't mix and match.

Student or Learner
Hi everyone,
My name's Nebojsha and I just joined here. Would be grateful If someone could explain the difference between these 2 sentences: how you dealt with it VS how did you deal with it?
Describe a difficult time that you experienced as a student.You should say:
- when it was
- why was it difficult
- how you dealt with it ------> Can I say "how did you deal with It" instead? And what Is the difference?
Thank you very much.

Typoman - writer of rongs
Dealt = did deal.
Tell me how you dealt with it? = How did you deal with it?
I'm not a teacher. I speak American English. I've tutored writing at the University of Southern Maine and have done a good deal of copy editing and writing, occasionally for publication.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
