I found another typo/misspelling on one of my posts from just yesterday, but I no longer seem to be able to go back and edit it. However, after making a new reply to a different thread just now, the edit button does appear.
Is there now a time limit to edit your posts? If so, what is it? It's apparently less than 26 hours.

I believe it's 24 hours. Spammers were editing posts from the not-too-distant past to add links and other illicit content.
You can PM a moderator to ask for an edit. No guarantees as to how long it might take to get a response, though.

We had a problem with spammers who were editing posts later to add links to all sorts of things. Post the link to the post here and we will fix the typo. Sorry for the bother.

I would say it's been about six to eight months since it came into effect.
Edit: Time flies! I've just discovered the change was made on 27th Feb 2019!
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
