    There are probably lots of keys, but I think the most important is: Don't write too much. Once you have covered everything, write your conclusion and stop.

    Some students think that teachers are impressed by long essays. They're not: when they're faced with 20 essays to mark at the weekend, the last thing they want to do is to wade through pages and pages where students just repeat themselves.
