He is at the edge of the cliff

    Hello.

Is this sentence I have written correct and natural?

He is at the edge of the cliff. She will push him over if she asks for a divorce.

I was thinking about how I could use this cliff metaphor in the situation where a man is in a bad situation and his wife also is thinking about divorce.

Is there a better way to express it?

    What about this?

He is at the edge of the cliff. By asking for a divorce, she is pushing him over the cliff.

Although, it has the problem of repeating the word cliff.

Re: He is at the edge of the cliff

He is at the edge of a cliff. By asking for a divorce, she's basically pushing him off [it].
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
