I wonder whether these two sentences have the same meaning. Are they both correct and synonym?

"People are impressed by whatthey see on the TV screen, believing that having more will lead them to a more fulfilling life.
People believe that having more will lead them to a more fulfilling life, being impressed by what they see on the TV secreen. "

We would normally say:

People are impressed by what they see on TV.

Yes, they're correct and mean the same thing.

Impressed might not be exactly the word you want. Some other choices:

- influenced
- attracted
- enticed
- seduced
- captivated

NOTE: It's better to use quotation marks only when quoting someone.
