[Grammar] Get places or get to places?

Shouldn't it be getting to places? Or is it a fixed expression? Don't we need to before a noun when get means arrive?

Yes, it is getting to places, meaning arriving at places.

It's correct as written. It would be unnatural with the preposition.

Don't you think it's a good idea to leave incorrect answers so that they can be discussed?
I think it's possible for one person's incorrect answer to be acceptable to another person.

You're right—that's definitely an incorrect answer! :-D

Both versions are natural, but the version with the preposition is the only natural version in my own speech.
