Is Van de Beek feeling homesick?

"Midfielder Donny van de Beek has seen his Manchester United playing time limited since signing from Ajax in August for a fee in the region of £40m. He didn't make it off the bench for Saturday's drab draw with Chelsea." I do not understand why it is "time limited". Should not it be "limited time"? Also, i do not understand what "has seen his Manchester United playing time limited" means.

I think you're parsing the sentence wrong. Let me highlight the parts for you:

Midfielder Donny van de Beek has seen his Manchester United playing time limited ...
