the accent of the guy (difficult to understand?)

Hi.

I've come across a video in which a man supports Donald Trump. However, when watching it, I found myself having trouble in understanding some of what he was saying, especially some words. Could you please take a look at the video and share with me your ideas as native speakers of English? Is his acccent very difficult to understand?

I assume you're asking about the black man's accent. He's from one of the the Caribbean islands. I can't tell which one. He would have to have been naturalized as a US citizen to have the right to vote, unless he's from the US Virgin Islands. In that case he would simply have to live in one of the states or in the District of Columbia.

I had no trouble understanding him, either, but it would be very tricky for a non-native speaker. He has a very strong Caribbean accent.

I took a Ruandan friend to hear the English musician Richard Thompson in concert. My friend loved the music, but he couldn't understand a single word Thompson said or sang in the entire show.
