Are music and dancing one thing or two?
(There's a hint in that sentence.)

Student or Learner
This is my answer to the question: "Do you think music and dancing are forms of art?"
My answer is: "It's a great part of art." But is my answer correct if I am talking about two forms of art?

I'm not a teacher. I speak American English. I've tutored writing at the University of Southern Maine and have done a good deal of copy editing and writing, occasionally for publication.
I would say they are art forms. Or can be. (It is somewhat subjective what is and isn't art.)
Not a professional teacher
They're or They are.
Nothing wrong with that definitely but as a learner I wanted to know if "They are great parts of art" is also correct. If I am talking about two things. And if I am talking about one thing, if "It's a great part of art" is also correct? I mean natural and grammatically correct.
"They are great parts of art" and "It's a great part of art" are unnatural and have no meaning.
Forget them.
