I'm looking for an English saying/term for the following situation:

I hate person A, and wish to see him destroyed
in the past, Person A has said minor negative things about Person B and C
I create an online avatar and pretend to be a loyal supporter of Person A
I let everyone know what Person A has said about person B and C, with slight exaggeration.
I state my personal opinion that B and C are vile and evil, and supporter/fan of B and C are also vile and evil

The real aim is to deceive Person B/C and their supporters to attack Person A.
The closest thing I can think of is "false flag attack". Is there one better?

I'm looking for an English saying/term for the following situation:

I hate someone and wish to see him destroyed.
In the past, he has said minor negative things about two others.
I create an online avatar and pretend to be a loyal supporter of him.
I let everyone know what he has said about the others, with slight exaggeration.
I state my personal opinion that the other two are vile and evil, and their supporters are also vile and evil.

The real aim is to deceive the two and their supporters to attack him.

The closest thing I can think of is "false flag attack".

Is there one better?

I don't know that they're better, but you could use slandering, libeling, smearing, mud-slinging, or bad-mouthing.
Welcome, Simsim!

Punctuate the ends of all sentences.

It seems to me that too many people spend too much time trying to deceive people online.

By giving incorrect information in their profile?
Well, that, too, I guess, now that you mention it.

Regarding Sim's post about deceiving people online: bad idea.
