Hey! I have a phrase in my cover letter, where i´m not sure if it´s correct:

"I am very interested in joining ... as an Intern in Q4 2021."

Should it be "for Q4 2021" or "in Q4 2021"

[STRIKE]Hey![/STRIKE]

I have a phrase in my cover letter, [STRIKE]where[/STRIKE] and I'm not sure if it's correct:

"I am very interested in joining ... as an
intern in [STRIKE]Q4[/STRIKE] the fourth quarter of 2021."

Should it be "for Q4 2021" or "in Q4 2021"
?

Welcome to the forum. :hi:

Please see my corrections above. As you can see, I wouldn't use "Q4" at all. Whether you use "in" or "for" depends on whether you want to start there as an intern on the first day of, or any date during, the fourth quarter ("in") or you want to start working there shortly before the fourth quarter starts and work there throughout that quarter ("for").

You probably see that term Q4 used in things like economic reports of performance indicators. Why can't you be specific in giving the date e.g. 1 Oct 2021 or the month (Oct 2021)?
