I told a friend this:

You'd better put on your mask when you're in a mall or a lift because the air condition is in circulation. If someone is infected with the virus, the small particles of virus will be circulated to your breathing track.

I'm not a scientist but saying this is very common here in my country. I read someone about aerosol transmission and many scientists say it's very true that it exists.

Please correct my italic sentences.

1- Learn the difference between "track" and "tract".
2- Learn the difference between "had better" and "should".
3- Use "air conditioning".
4- Simplify and shorten your sentence.

I'm not a scientist but saying this is very common here in my country.
There is a lot of false information about that. Not all air conditioning systems are without filters, and I suspect there are no definitive studies proving that significant transmission occurs as a result of air conditioners circulating the air.

That was a typo.

2- Learn the difference between "had better" and "should".

"Had better" is a suggestion while "should" is an order. That's why I use "had better".

3- Use "air conditioning".
4- Simplify and shorten your sentence.

Done. Please help again.

You should put on your mask when in a mall or a lift.

How about this italic one?

I said to a friend:

"You should put on your mask when you're in a mall or a lift because [STRIKE]the[/STRIKE] air conditioning is on. If someone has the virus, the droplets will circulate."

Put verbatim quotes in quotation marks.

The virus is airborne, so an enclosed, air-conditioned environment has a higher risk of transmission of the coronasvirus than say, an open space, as the virus is likely to linger in the air (aerosol transmission). It depends on how efficient the ventilation system is (air change) in extracting stale air from an enclosed space of course. Higher grade air filters are required to filter out the virus, which the normal air-conditioning system cannot.

Putting on a face mask in public spaces is a standard requirement these days in reducing the risk and is recommended by the WHO, a measure which they did not consider necessary in the early days of the pandemic.

Charlie, I note that you struck through "the" before "air conditioning" in the quote box in post #5. In BrE, that would be incorrect. It is always called "the air conditioning" or "the AC".
