    Will or would?

    Hi all,
I am wondering which of these are correct and the reasons behind them.
    1. Who knows what the future will/ would bring?
    2. If I am to predict the end of the world in the year 3000, should I say:
The world would/will end in the year 3000?

I assume both of these sentences are your own.

You need will in both cases because you're thinking about a real possible future.

But how could the world end in year 3000 be a real possible future?

At the rate we're going with damage to the climate and the environment, there's a very real possibility of the world (as we know it) being well and truly done for by then.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

Well, what were you thinking about when you made the prediction?

When you predict something, you expect it to happen. You think it's going to happen. That's not just possible; it's likely.
