Question read and pronounce initials you don't know

    Hello, dear community.

How do you read and pronounce initials you don't know? For example, "For later help I am most deeply indebted to Miss M. Knight and Mr W. J. Osborne". Do you read it like "Miss Knight" or "Miss Em Knight"?

Ideally, it is assumed you should prepare for reading it by checking full name, am I right?

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

No. It's the writer's responsibility to supply the name. When you're faced with initials, you read them by pronouncing the letters.
    I am not a teacher.
