    But the sound is part of the narrative, and sci-fi has never paid that much attention to the details of science. Star Trek and Doctor Who would have noisy meteoroids if they needed them, and that is the sci-fi gold standard, no matter what physicists say.

    I am sure that meteors do make a sound on impact. As for Doctor Who, the tardis is small on the outside but roomy on the inside. I would call it science fantasy. (It's like Alice in Wonderland.)
