Patience was one of her strong suits.

    Is this correct and natural?

Patience was one of her strong suits. She bid her time, waiting for the right moment. Bur revenge, when it came, tasted like it was wrapped in plastic. Like a piece of bread that had gone stale.

I don't know whether Brits would say bid. In American English, it's bided.

    Otherwise, all's well.
I'm not a teacher. I speak American English. I've tutored writing at the University of Southern Maine and have done a good deal of copy editing and writing, occasionally for publication.

    We wouldn't.

    Bid > bid
    Bide > bided
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

It sounds to me like you're saying the bread had gone stale because it was wrapped in plastic. I assume you don't meant that.
