    Please share

    1) Please share the copy of insurance for ABC to Ram.

    2) Please share final draft to Ram.

Are both these sentences correct? I understand we need to use 'with" instead of "to". Is my understanding correct?

Is Ram a person? If so, use with.

    Re: Please share

What do you mean by "share" here? Are you talking about an email or giving Ram a physical copy?
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

Yes, Ram is a name of a person. Can you help me to understand why can't we use " to" ?

The main reason is simply that the most common collocation is "share with" when we're talking about people.

Please share the chocolate with your sister.
Can you share your thoughts with me?
Please share the report with Ram and the assistant manager.

If we're talking about something other than a person, a different preposition might be appropriate. For example, "Can you share that image to/on our WhatsApp group?"

Because we are still sharing with people, I would suggest saying "Can you share that image with our WhatsApp group?". "Can you share that image to/on our WhatsApp group?" sounds awkward to me.

    Re: Please share

As far as the original question goes, I'd be explicit and say "Can you email that to Ram, please?"

    Re: Please share

The pattern you need is this: share something with somebody

You can't use to in this pattern.

Does it mean that if we use "send" instead of "share" then we can use "to"? For example- Please send the final report to Ram.
