Which sentence isn't [STRIKE]true[/STRIKE] correct?

A- She complained that her son always arrived after midnight.
B- She complained that her son had always arrived after midnight.
C- She complained that her son was always arriving after midnight.
D- She complained that her son would always arrive after midnight.

Welcome to the forum. :hi:

Note my correction above - take some time to study the difference between "true" and "correct".

Your member profile shows that you are an English teacher. If that's the case, you should know the answer already (and know why "true" is wrong). If you're still training to be a teacher and this is an assignment, we can't help you.

I have changed your thread title and moved your question to the main body of your post. Thread titles should include some/all of the words/phrases/sentences you are asking us about.

I see you had already received some answers to this thread from WordReferenceForums, mohamido, before you posted it here.

Please do not post the same question simultaneously to more than one forum. Doing so wastes our valuable time. Instead, post your question to one forum and wait for replies. If you're not satisfied with those replies, you can try another forum, but please indicate in your thread that you've already asked the same question elsewhere (provide a link), and outline why you were not satisfied with the answers you received already.
