    reckon with

Mary gained recognition as a politician __________ when she challenged the leader on a number of key issues.
    (a) to reckon (b) to be reckoned with (c) to be reckoned (d) to reckon with

    The answer may be C

I don't know the meaning of 'reckon with" and the difference B and D

    THanks you.
