    Relative Clause--Urgent, pls reply..thanks!

    Hello,
I have a problem of relative clause, pls help:
    Here is the sentence:
Alice gussed that he was looking for his fan and white kid gloves and good naturedly joined in the hunt, but the Rabbit's belongings were nowhere to be seen.

    1. Is 'that' here a relative clause? If not, why?
    2. he was looking for his fan and white kid gloves---is a verb compliment or not?
    3. Alice guessed and good naturedly joined in the hunt---1 or 2 independent clause, why?
4.what is the meaning of 'kid' here?
    Thanks
    Mag-
