What does "like nothing" mean in the context above?

Before we answer, you must provide the source and author of the quote.

That's from a student's book published in Belarus. Written by non-native English speakers.

That's not enough information. We need the title of the book and the names of the authors. It doesn't matter whether they're native speakers or not.

May I ask you why you need it? Without this information the text isn't comprehensible, you want to say? I doubt it. Why then does it matter?

On the other hand, the two things that do matter (the context and whether the text was written by a native speaker) I gave. What's the matter, ems? :)

It is a legal requirement of the forum. The copyright laws in the UK, where the forum is based, are very strict. If you don't wish to comply with the rules of the forum, that is your choice. We can simply delete this thread. If you want the thread to stay in place, give us the information.

I don't see why that excerpt is so important for the copyright laws in the UK. What consequenses are going to follow if you simply answer my question?

You have had three opportunities to provide the source and author and have failed to do so. Instead, you chose to be argumentative. This thread is closed and I have removed the quote from post #1 as the source has not been cited.
