    Hello, Marie,
Your question is not clear at all. You 'd like to teach like that?

    Hi
Sorry your right, I wasn't very clear, most likely because i am confused myself. I have an assignment question i am stuck on - I want to understand the question.

It talks about knowing a language is not just a matter of having grammatical competence. We also need to have communicative competence.

Is there any place for teaching grammar in a formal manner? give reasons for your answer.

Does this question mean is there any place for teaching the Queens English?

or could it mean structure, drills etc. I came to my conclusion Queens English because of the words formal manner.

    Hope you can help.

    thanks

Err... so it's not your own question? There might be some places where only Queen's English is taught, I don't know. At Eton? Not sure.
