Teller: How would you like the money?
Pedro: Twenties, please.
I want to ask "how does he want the money?" He wants the money ... twenties. Do we say in twenties if not what?
But, given the context, Pedro's version was OK too Daisy. In fact, if you make 'twenties' the subject of some sentence, I'd say it's more common:
How would you like the money?
Twenties'll do. (Note: what this saying is not that twenties will (intrinsically) suffice, but that payment in twenties will be OK.)
