    Re: Expect of/from

Usually of. Never off. Occasionally from - although this version has more of the from sense:

It is expected of everyone that he will do his duty.
A contribution of at least Ģ5.00 is expected from everyone.

But when a direct object comes between the expect and the preposition, it tends to be from:

That much is expected of you.

    But

I might have expected that from you.

    What about "with"?
    `
    "expected with you"

    Re: Expect of/from

Never - except the obvious exception:

Who's she expected to come with?
    Me.
    Really?
Yes - she's expected with me.

(which is not really an exception; it's a different use of expected.)
