    "Foul mood" sounds fine to me; or "filthy mood". Depending on the force of the expression (not one I know), you could also say 'he was spitting blood'.

    I think "he was spitting blood " is the good translation.Thanks for your help.Maybe could you tell me how to say" il a pété un cable"?
