I've heard someone saying "There goes the bell"; "There goes everything"; "There goes another day"...

Could you tell me what the meaning of "there goes" is? How to use it?

Great thanks

In general, it means that something has ended.

The bell has rung.
Everything is gone.
Another day has ended.

Hi,
I thought it was like pointing to smb/sth that has appeared and is the same as Here is… What about
Down the road I look and there runs Mary
Hair of gold and lips like cherry

We could change it to there goes Mary, couldn’t we?
Tnx

Yes, and sometimes it only implies it. If I say There goes £50 I'm talking about a particular expense. But if I reach for a cake and say There goes my diet, I'm implying that I was dieting in the first place.

Yes, the diet has ended. But saying 'There goes' implies that it started too.

Hi everyone!

Who Goes There?

In which sense? It is capitalized? or is it only asking whoever goes to a particular place? if not, it could be the name of science fiction story..I don't remember the name of the author..
