    Hello there,
    I am studying to be a teacher of English and I came across the following problem what is the difference between the adjectives gold and golden?

    They can be synonyms but aren't always. "Golden" is usually used to denote some similarity to the richness or color of gold.

    golden hair
    golden voice

    "Gold" as an adjective can refer to the color of gold or to actual presence of gold.

    gold jerseys
    gold jewelry
