    main or action verbs

    Are the following verbs used as action verbs in these sentences?

    1. The blue whale is eating krill.
    2. The shark attacks a school of fish.
    3. Sally the seahorse clings to seaweed.
    4. Many kinds of fish swim in the ocean.
    5. Clown fish live in the coral.
    6. All the fish hide when a shark is near.

    I wouldn't call live an action verb; I'd call it stative.
