    Smile to make do

    Hi!
Could anyone please explain the meaning of the expression "to make do"?
I came across it in this sentence: "But the problem is that many children are having to make do until dinner". I've never seen this expression before!

    Kind regards
    Seagull

It means to 'be satisfied or manage with what you have'.

Also, search for the string "Make and Do"; this expression is covered in my attachment.
