    Drink Up!

    Dear Teachers,

    A. Ok! Everybody, drink up!
    - Does "drink up!" mean "drink until the water in the glass is emty", right? Is it the same meaning as "cheers!"?

    B. I'm with you this time, buddy.
    - This means "I follow you this time, buddy" or "I stand by you this time, buddy", right?

    Thanks a million

Yes, drink up usually implies emptying the glass. Cheers is a toast of "good cheer". "Drink up" isn't a toast; it is simply a mild command.

    Re: Drink Up!

"I'm with you" means "I stand by you" or "I support you" or "I'm on your side".
