    Question All the best

    When a person ends a letter or email saying All the best and signs his or her name is a final goodbye?

    "All the best," is a familiar, casual closing for letters to friends and family.

    ... but it's not absolutely final. People often have an afterthought, and write it after the signature, prefixed by the abbreviation 'PS'. Paradoxically, although it's an abbreviation of the Latin phrase post scriptum, it's more likely to be used nowadays in informal writing (as in a formal letter, you'd just rewrite it).
