    It or that

    - Do you remember when we went to Arizona?
    - Yeah! It/that was a good trip.

    What can I do about it/that?

    - Where's your tennis racket?
    - It/that's in my bag.

    My question is, when should we use it and that when we are referring to something that has already been mentioned or is already know about?
