    all around

Would you check my examples please?

The team is very good all around; defense, attack
He has lots of friends and will get something for Christmas all around.

    Is "all around" used correctly?

    Sorry. I meant:

He has lots of friends and will give something for Christmas all around.

He has lots of friends so he will have to give presents to all those around him.

Isn't my example correct at all? I saw the following:
    "He bought drinks all around."

    Re: all around

No, it would be he bought drinks all round.

'Because he has lots of friends he will be giving something for Christmas all round.'

It's is understandable but would be unusual.

The first sentence is OK except for the punctuation. I would use either a colon or a dash there.

The team is very good all around: defense, attack.
The team is very good all around -- defense, attack.

I would not use "all around" or "all round" for Christmas presents. With drinks, it is a bit of an idiom.
