    could you please make the differance between these two sentences clear:

    1.I forgot buying the book
    2.I forgot to buy the book

    1 You did buy the book, but you forgot the event. [You forgot the buying]
    2 You didn't buy the book, because you forgot. [You forgot the intention to buy]
