    Question A sentence

"From the results it follows that this procedure may not be as useful in practice as it has been thought to."

    Is this sentence fine?

    Thanks,
    Nyggus

    Close.

The results/data demonstrate/suggest that this procedure [may not be]/[is not] as useful in practice as had been thought.

I've given you two sets depending on how strong the data are.

I used the past perfect at the end because the speaker is trying to change the thinking that was prevalent before this study.

I've edited my post. For some reason, I typed "strange" instead of "strong". It's early for me.
