    Have The Time

    Dear Teachers,

    A. Do you have the time?
    - This means “what’s the time?”, right? And is it common?

    B. Do you best /try your best and don’t make me lose face this time.
    - Is this natural?

    Thanks a million

    Re: Have The Time

A It can means that, and it is common.
B It's fine, though I would use something like 'don't show me up' insted of 'lose face'.

    PS Do your best

"Do you have the time" can also ask if the person has enough time to do something.
