    the verb "condition"

    Hi,

    could you please explain the meaning of the verb "condition" in the following text:

    The sample of the fabric was washed five times in accordance with standard XXX at 60C and was dried in a tumble drier. After drying, the sample was conditioned and tested at 23 +/- 1 C and 24 +/- 1 % r.h.

    Could it be treated with something to improve the condition of it, like conditioned for hair?
