    Question

    1."Please" and "Thank you" are the small changes < > which we pay our way as social beings. They are little courtesies < > which we keep the machine of life and running sweetly.

    A. for - on B. to - by C. of - with D. with - by E. from - of

    2. More recently, lawyers, politicians and even Supreme Court Justices are increasingly questioning the role as the death penalty in our justice system.

    I don't know the answers of the two questions.

    No.2 is the question that is incorrect .

    In your first, "changes" should be "change".
