    "Susan went as a personal visitor, but she brought along her tape recorder just in case."

    What is ungrammatical about this sentence. It's not overt to me. All I have to offer is that "along" needs to be removed because it's redundant.

    Along can be omitted, but it is not ungrammatical. I would have put a comma between recorder and just.
